The Akropong Akuapem Presbyterian Singing Band was founded in 1930, with twenty-eight members. The strength of the Band now stands at forty (40): 33 Females and 7 Males.

The Band celebrated its first anniversary on 4th September 1932, inviting sister Bands from Aburi, Tutu, Adawso and Accra.

Dr. Ephraim Amu (of blessed memory) was the first Singing Band Master of the group.
The Band meets thrice weekly – Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

Through its songs, the Singing band has been able to win souls for Christ and their occasional rehearsals of the Apocrifer brings to Christians and non Christians their responsibilities both in the home and in the church.
